Why Angela Merkel is Extraordinary

In a world where women aren’t generally esteemed as persons who could spark great changes that affect a great portion of society, there are those who rise up and prove this mentality wrong. There are women, who in the midst of a terrible crisis, stand up and accomplish greater things than a thousand men can ever achieve. These women, such as Angela Merkel, have greatly influenced, not just their fields of work, but also those who are constantly looking for a purpose in their lives.

Angela Merkel isn’t just known for being the Chancellor of Germany; she is also popular for a great many things, including her contributions in helping the European Union rise up from the terrible depression that befell the region during the late 2000s. Her incredible passion for her fellow Germans, as well as her desire to see a prosperous Germany, has enabled her to enact policies that brought her country out of the depression.

Despite growing up in a communist society, Angela has managed to keep her mind set towards democracy and freedom. Her childhood experience in East Germany has only fuelled her desire to further dream of a democratic and united Germany. Along with the love and affection that was instilled by her parents, her persistent attitude helped her cope with the problems that her country faced all throughout these years.
